Indian star cricketer Rishabh Pant has, out of the blue and in quite a unique request, asked Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to help him acquire land in his native state of Uttarakhand to build a home and return to “Pahadi people”.

On Thursday night, pant posted on social media that though his heart was in the hill state where he grew up. He wrote on X that he was facing issues and was now writing directly to the Chief Minister with the plea to facilitate the land purchase in Uttarakhand.
Pant revealed that it was for over three years that he was trying to procure a piece of land and had finally given it a direct thought for “better future and to contribute to my state’s progress and stay in touch with my people. Although my main ground is there but to complete the process I had to choose Delhi out of compulsion.
Not necessarily for free
This statement clarified to some extent that Pant was seeking the approval of his purchase from the Chief Minister for “better procedures”. It may even suggest to the current political dispensation to address a similar problem if they receive requests. “After having to delay certain project of community support on grounds on availability of land and the process is lengthy; my family decided Ishould consider the acquisitionof land for a ‘home.’
The property is not free nor my intention.
But the process of getting it has been proving difficult ..” Pant wrote. “With this endeavor; i am attempting to reconnect with my community at large by buying land of my own, and it would be appreciated immensely by my mother, our family and me if the concerned Govt. Authorities and Honble CM help me.

The chief minister responded swiftly with reassurance for the talented cricketer. “Young Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant’s desire to return to his home state Uttarakhand and build a house here is very welcome,” Dhami said on social media platform X. “I have given necessary instructions to officials on this matter.
Pant, a source of pride for Uttarakhand on the national and international cricket stage, will be given complete help in accordance with government rules,” added the Chief Minister assuring to help pant to sort-out matters for construction of land for building ‘HOME’.
It is worthy ofmentionin this respect that pant previously led an effort to support the disaster-affected state of uttarakhand as a celebrity youth ambassador for promotional efforts.
