Thanks google you are the best. I am a huge fan of Google and I have my own reasons for why I enjoy Google so deeply. I’m going to write this piece to discuss how I’ve grown with Google throughout the years, in addition to how the platform has assisted me throughout the years and how I am convinced it will benefit me in the future.
Me and Google have been around for a long time. I can still recall that first moment when I tried the first version Google and how much has changed since when I first began using Google. Google has expanded its reach not just into the realm of search, but also into numerous other areas relevant to me.
Note: I have tried the entire range of products I’m discussing in this article and the information is from my own experience using the identical.

Google Search:
I would be millions of times less in my knowledge were it not the use of Google Search. Although this may be to be obvious to you all but there are lots of ways I use Google Search. Maybe you do too. As a developer and user who I am use Google Search to solve my issues, such as converting currencies, using a calculator, read articles about subjects that I am passionate about as well as find the images and icons I need for the projects I do, check out news whenever I need to keep up-to-date on things, and if I would like to discover any great alternatives to the frameworks, libraries and tools that I am using I can use it to help me with this as well. It is imperative that it is to understand how to utilize Google Search to be a good and efficient developer.
Android Developer Tools:
Android and Android Developer Tools What could you do with my Android phone? I’m uncertain. I’m not someone who is spending a lot of time using Whatsapp and mobile games or any other social network. The majority of time I spend on my phone is spent the reading of Tech Articles which gets delivered to me through Google Now (they have now removed the design but it was great) as well as receiving email updates as well as developing apps for work, snapping pictures whenever I have to, and mostly looking for things that are interesting to me.
I’ve found most of the apps I’m looking for on the Play Store, and it makes my job so simple. I enjoy music while traveling and I use numerous apps such as Google Maps extensively and its an absolute delight for me.
The tools for developers provide are also fantastic. They work with Linux and is integrated with Chrome and supports a wide range of devices. The emulator was notoriously slow to start and operate with older versions, but with IO18, they’ve solved the issue with rapid snapshots. Also, I like Android greatly.
Gmail:
Gmail Although I tried Yahoo mail during the first days, I didn’t like it nearly as much as I enjoy Gmail. Nearly all of my social networks and other accounts online are connected to my Google or Gmail account, which helps me tremendously. The best things I like about Gmail is its search feature and its incredible SPAM filtering. I would check SPAM to check the SPAM folder to check that it did not list any important emails as SPAM in the past, however, I was unable to find a situation where the emails that were in the SPAM folder weren’t really SPAM and, over time I neglected those emails, which saved me many hours. Additionally, the distinctions between Updates, Primary Social and Promotional emails are assisting me tremendously in making life easier for me.
YouTube:
What would I do if I don’t have Youtube? I’m not entirely sure. Youtube is my main sources of entertainment. I utilize Youtube not just to watch various videos but also as my main source of music online. You can find my playlist at https://www.youtube.com/nlohidasureddy where I maintain a lot of playlists of the songs that I love and listen to every day. Furthermore I’ve learned a lot of information from Youtube through tutorials offered by various people on subjects that I enjoy. I have even streamed videos of myself onto YouTube along with the Game streams that I would do. The possibilities are endless. I also watch many Tech Conferences, including the most recent Google I/O 2018 at Youtube and it’s a huge help for those like me who are unable to afford travel to conferences. I also love reading Youtube comments in the event that I’m not able to work. I’d like to see them enable background playback in Android as I am trying to hack it to make it work.
Google Maps:
Google Maps Should I speak about Maps? Wow, this is an amazing technology that allows me tremendously to navigate, gives my the ETA to help me prepare as well as gives me routes and information on public transportation services, highlights nearby places and gives me reviews on different areas and handles my entire journey from beginning to end.
Google Chrome:
Google Chrome I fell into love with Chrome at the time it came out and have become a regular user of Chrome with it on for over 12 hours every day on both my Laptop and mobile device for all the things that I have to accomplish. The most appealing thing I love about Chrome is its style and sync capabilities, its speed and, most importantly, its CHROME DEV TOOLS, without which I’d be stuck with my workflow for development performing tests of performance, going through network requests and responses searching the local storage, modifying the DOM and colors, styles and more. It can also help in the debugging of mobile applications, Node.js apps and is useful when you need to test your app with different resolutions and network speeds. It does everything a browser must do. Keep security up, allow bookmarks and extensions (I utilize Adblock, Pushbullet, Web developer, Vysor, Medium to Markdown and many more.) to get stuff done.
Google Drive:
Thanks google you are the best for providing me 15GB free storage in your drive. I have nearly all of my personal files within Google Drive and it helps me tremendously when I require something rapid, even if I’m not connected to my computer. It also serves as a backup of all important documents I have, and also helps me collaborate when I’m in necessity to collaborate with everyone in the vicinity.
Google Photos:
Google Photos is a great method to organize and store everything you’ve taken in one location. In addition, with news of Unlimited Photos storage on the cloud the picture is looking good. The sync feature itself is excellent in making sure that all my photos are safe within the cloud. This doesn’t end there. When you combine Google Lens, Google Photos and ML Kit, things get impressive as it allows users not just to capture photos, but also to alter the image in any way you want. In the io18 update, you’d have seen how Google Photos now provides intelligent ways to get your picture corrected or even get to the point of sharing it with your friends. This is done by identifying who is in the photo.
Google Keep:
Google Keep and Tasks I utilize both along with Trello to keep my work organised on a day by day basis. It’s extremely useful and aids me remain focused on the task in hand and to work towards it. I utilize Trello for long-term tasks and Google Keep & tasks for daily tasks.
Google Forms:
Whenever I had to get people to fill out something such as surveys or polls I would always use Google Forms to do the task for me. It really does what it’s supposed to do, and now it is also becoming intelligent and can predict the kind of response you’d expect when you input a question, thereby reducing time in having to choose the kind of answer you need. It also offers well-researched answers in spreadsheets using Google Sheets which is amazing to view.
Google News:
Google News and Google Now are the source of daily news feeds for me, delivering all the information I’m seeking straight to my phone. In addition, as part of io18, Google has announced that they will be collaborating with publishers to analyze the relevance of related and pertinent content on the internet and providing users with a wide range of choices such as subscribing to premium content, observing and evaluating the content you enjoy, and sharing news with friends.
Google Contacts:
Definitely helpful for someone like me who wants switching phones when something interesting and new is discovered every two or three years. My contacts are kept on the same page with Google to ensure that I am able to access it anytime and wherever I’d like. I also find the search to be powerful. The only thing I encounter a problem with is when I find myself with duplicate contacts. Even though it provides the option of linking/mingling contacts, duplicates remain. However, this hasn’t been a major problem for me as it is able to do what it is supposed to do.
Google Calendar:
Love the features it provides although I don’t really use it as often because most of my calendar runs on Office365 and Outlook. However, when I do use Google Calendar, it does not disappoint me. Actually, when I make reservations for movie tickets and an email confirmation of my booking is sent to my email it will take charge of generating an entry in the calendar for the movie’s date and time and alerts me prior to the start of the film and also routes to my location via Maps. I like how they make my work simple, without me needing to create an entry in the calendar.
Google Assistant:
Google Home and Assistant Google Assistant and Home: Although I don’t use it often because I’m more comfortable with apps – I prefer to tap on things instead of speaking or type it in the app, I do use it when I need to schedule things such as Reminder, and it’s fairly well. I also tested Amazon Alexa in addition to Google Home and while I noticed that I found Alexa more accurate in its response time and speech recognition capabilities, I’m confident of Google Home due to the technology and the community it could offer users.
Google Analytics:
I had utilized it numerous times on the websites I build to gather an extensive amount of information about the traffic I tried to gather. It is highly actionable because you can get details on every action if you’ve set it up correctly. It is possible to see when the user landed and where they was most active as well as when and where they left, making it simple to make improvements to the design if required.
Material Design:
Material Design from Google when I create websites and apps, I’ve always desired guidelines, resources, and tools that would simplify my work because I would be too busy or time to study the best methods to UI and UX and instead focus on the logic behind my application, but this was made simple for us all by the incredible designers at Google offering extensive design guides, tools and even libraries that allow us to integrate Material designs into our applications. The Material design is my favorite. design, which is a part of Android’s revamp to integrate material design into the whole ecosystem. Polymer, Angular Material and other Components of Material.io all follow the design principles, making the task extremely easy for me. They also offer free Material icons and, with io18, an online gallery for designers to collaborate, helping the process from beginning to the end.
Google Duo:
The quality of calls that you can make with Duo is very good contrasted with other apps for calling. However, it has some flaws that don’t seem to be a surprise given its age, but it is able to do the job of providing good quality calling.
Google Translate:
While I have used it just a handful of times, it is with an abundance of languages to learn about and can be helpful when we have to comprehend or communicate with someone from an ethnically diverse background.
Google Cloud:
Even when there were major players such as AWS and Azure on marketplace, Google has not failed to stand out with its cloud services. It’s less expensive and has the powerhouse infrastructure they possess (we recently saw the announcement the Cloud’s TPU 3.0 to enable AI solutions on the cloud) It is a breeze to provide the same services to everyone. This has created the creation of a healthy competition among the service providers, resulting in lower prices of the services.
Thanks google you are the best And, what else?
There are many other services Google offers, such as Flutter Hangouts, Inbox, Google Earth and many more. and you can find the full list at https://www.google.co.in/about/products/
However, it fails to draw attention to its various products which the most well-known products include Google+, Play Music and others. that I do not think is any use to people as the existence of other products that do exactly the same thing that Google is trying to accomplish.
Yet, Google is Google. It has its head held up high and we are seeing an interesting new technology such as Google Duplex and ML Toolkit coming soon for us to utilize.
